Overview
Plan your Do Dham Group Tour Yatra Package from Haridwar 2024 starting from INR 14800 Per Person. Kedarnath and Badrinath are temples of prime importance in Hindu culture. Shiva is present in his Sadashiv form in Kedarnath, and Badrinath is home to Lord Vishnu’s Badrinarayan form. The Kedarnath shrine is believed to have been built by the Pandavas. A story also suggests that it was here that the Pandavas prayed for penance to Lord Shiva. It’s one of the twelve Jyotirlingas- the most sacred and radiant lingas. During the 2013 floods, the areas around the temple were heavily damaged, but the temple itself did not see any major destruction because a heavy stone blocked the path of flood waters.
Badrinath is associated with the legend of Vishnu. It was here that Vishnu practised penance, and Laxmi took the form of a berry tree to provide him shade. Today this place is full of devotees and sages who meditate to gain enlightenment.
If you wish to visit these holy shrines, our ‘group departure Dodham yatra by road’ is a great travel package option.

Special tips for senior citizens
Since a huge chunk of pilgrims in the Dodham yatra are senior citizens, here are some tips that’ll help you plan and prepare for travelling.
About a month before the start of the trip, practice breathing exercises, and take brisk walks. This will improve lung performance and aid in proper breathing at the high-altitude places covered during this trip. Carry water bottles with you on the yatra and avoid drinking straight from natural sources as the water will be contaminated.
Having an emergency first-aid kit with you is crucial. Aside from any regular medicines you take, remember to keep medicines for colds, coughs, fevers, headaches, and antiseptic ointment. Also, carry band-aids to be on the safe side. Get yourself medically examined by a doctor to be sure that you’re ready for the trip. This is because this yatra involves camping at some high-altitude locations and trekking. If you’re physically unfit, there may be severe consequences.
All necessary travel accessories like flashlights, mosquito nets, trekking shoes, walking sticks, and waterproof tents are good to have. So carry them if you wish to. Since high altitudes tend to be chilly, carrying woollens are advisable. Sweaters, jackets, scarves, and thermal wear must be on your list of items to carry. Women are advised to avoid sarees and wear salwar kameez or pants to comfortably walk on difficult terrains.
